The 5L tank is made from polyethylene with a melting temperature above 300 degrees Celsius. Its oval design prevents it from falling over during transport. The recommended ratio is 4-5 parts diesel to one part petrol for safety reasons, and no higher petrol concentration should be used. A ball valve is located on the lance for easy shutting off of fuel during transit. The breather valve, situated on the side of the container, and the ball valve must be opened slightly when in use to control the flow of fuel to the wick for easy burning and dripping of diesel. Parts include:
- Breather Valve
- Ball Valve
- Lid
- Lance
- Wick.
The drip torch is also used for wildfire suppression and controlled burning for fire breaks, intentionally lighting fires.
