So what’s the deal? Wasn't this meant to be out last year?
DriveClub was originally intended to be a PlayStation 4 launch title in 2013, but Sony decided the game needed more work. The result is a much more polished title that is leaps and bounds ahead of what we'd have got a year ago.
What’s the gameplay like?
This isn't an open-world racer, with races instead taking place on closed tracks or point to point events. All the events take place within Scotland, India, Norway, Canada, and Chile.
While loads of super cars are included, this isn't a po-faced driving sim like Gran Turismo or Forza. The handling here allows for some glorious drifting and slipstreaming, ideal for the game's multiplayer and challenge focus.
Forming crews with fellow players, competing against others, and setting the best times is all key to how you'll get the most out of this racer.
Amazing looking weather effects will be added after release, as will loads of new content, including cars and race events.
