** Live plants are available to South African customers only **
Native to South Africa, this plant grows vigorously and produces rather large leaves at maturity. Each leaf is covered with sticky gooey dew. When a fly lands on it, the leaf slowly curls around it to get the most out of the insect. As a mountainous species, this plant likes a very sunny window with mild temperatures. It may slow down significantly during the hottest parts of summer, but watch it take off again when the weather cools down. Fantastic candidate plant for beginner carnivorous plant enthusiasts
Drosera, also known as sundews, are carnivorous plants that uses a thick gluey goo called mucilage to trap and digest their prey. They are one of the most numerous carnivorous plants, and have at least 188 known species. Drosera are found everywhere in the world except Antartica. Many sundew spesies usually live for two or more years, while others live for only one year and reproduce by seed
