DSC LC-200S Wired PIR Motion Detector 12m Pet Immune 15kg

The DSC LC-200S Wired PIR Motion Detector with Pet Immunity is an indoor alarm detector for homes, offices, shops and other properties using a compatible hardwired alarm system. It monitors an area of up to 12 metres with a 100° field of view and uses digital signal processing to analyse movement detected by its PIR sensor. Pet immunity for animals weighing up to 15 kg helps reduce unwanted activations when the detector is correctly positioned and installed. Its built-in resistors and straightforward wall-mount design also help simplify professional installation.

• Covers rooms and passageways effectively. The 12 metre detection range and 100° field of view suit lounges, offices, entrance halls, passages and other indoor areas.
• Accommodates smaller household pets. Pet immunity supports animals weighing up to 15 kg when the detector is mounted at the recommended height and the protected area is correctly arranged.
• Analyses movement digitally. Digital signal processing evaluates the PIR sensors signal to help provide stable detection in normal indoor environments.
• Works with hardwired alarm systems. The detector can be connected to DSC systems and other compatible hardwired alarm panels using the appropriate zone wiring and resistor configuration.
• Simplifies supervised-zone wiring. Built-in 5.6 k end-of-line resistors can be enabled for compatible DSC PowerSeries Neo and PowerSeries Pro installations.
• Detects enclosure tampering. The case tamper contact can alert the alarm panel if the detector housing is opened while tamper monitoring is correctly wired.
• Handles common environmental interference. White-light filtering, radio-frequency interference protection and temperature compensation help maintain stable operation.
• Supports installer testing and adjustment. A red walk-test LED and selectable pulse-count settings assist with positioning and commissioning.

Compatibility & Accessory Support

The LC-200S is compatible with DSC PowerSeries Neo, PowerSeries Pro and other suitable hardwired alarm control panels. Its internal 5.6 k resistors are intended for compatible DSC supervised-zone configurations, while external resistors can be used where another panel requires different values.

The detector can mount directly to a wall. An optional compatible swivel bracket may be used where additional positioning adjustment is required.

Did You Know?

• The LC-200S and LC-200 look almost identical but have different specifications. The LC-200S has a 12 metre range and case tamper, while the LC-200 has a 15 metre range and additional wall-removal tamper protection.
• Pet immunity does not mean the detector simply ignores every animal below 15 kg. Mounting height, furniture placement and whether a pet can climb close to the detector all affect its performance.
• The internal resistors can save installation time on compatible DSC systems. They can also be disabled so an installer can use the resistor values required by a different alarm-panel manufacturer.
