Technical Specifications

The DStv Switch (5-2) is an active signal converter that allows legacy satellite installations to communicate with modern multi-tuner decoders.
    Input Ports: 4 × Satellite LNB inputs (Horizontal/Vertical Low/High bands) + 1 × Terrestrial/Aerial input.
    Output Ports: 2 × UniCable Outputs (Outputs A and B) + 4 × Standard Universal Outputs.
    Power Supply: Powered directly by the connected DStv decoder (no external wall plug needed).

Decoder Compatibility
    UniCable Ports (A & B): Explicitly required for the DStv Explora (Model 1, 2, and 3) and the DStv Smart Decoder to enable full recording and viewing capabilities.
    Universal Ports (1 to 4): Compatible with older Single View decoders, standard HD Decoders, and legacy DStv HD PVRs.

Typical Use Cases
    Twin LNB Conversion: Converts a basic 2-cable satellite dish feed into a single high-bandwidth UniCable stream required by an Explora.
    XtraView Setup: Links an Explora decoder (via Port A) and a standard HD Decoder (via Port 1) under a single DStv subscription without changing the dish outside.
