The Drifta is a mobile TV decoder that receives DVB-H signal and converts it into a Wi-Fi signal for Wi-Fi enabled viewing devices: laptops, PCs tablets and smartphones.

For the product to work it must be within DVB-H coverage.

Currently, the device is compatible with the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad and PCs including notebooks. Other devices will be available soon.

Pricing

1. The cost of the DStv Mobile package will be included in the purchase price of your Drifta until 31 March 2011.

All Drifta owners (regardless of whether they are DStv subscribers), will not be required to pay anything to access DStv Mobile during the introductory phase. Subscription costs will be included in the cost of the device until 31 March 2011, no extra charges apply.

2. Existing DStv Premium and Compact subscribers can access DStv Mobile at no cost for an extended period.

From 1 April 2011, existing DStv satellite Premium and Compact subscribers will be in for a treat as access to DStv Mobile will continue to be at no extra cost as subscription will be included in the cost of their satellite subscription. This special offer to Premium and Compact subscribers will be applicable until 1 April 2012.
