The rail adapter can be ambidextrously mounted for right- or left-handed shooters. One has  the option of mounting the laser or light on the bottom or side of the rail. For holstering and concealment purposes you can mount just the laser on the rail for a lower profile. Then in an instant, mount a quick-detach light on the rail for a combo unit.
