FAQs
Can I play DivX and MP3 files using my PS2?
Yes, you can. It has been tested to be compatible with PS2 Mediaplayer 1.50.
Why did you not include the Mediaplayer function as part of the modchip?
We did not believe that is as a good idea. PS2Reality specifically requested that they do not want to see their freeware used to sell other people products. (Mediaplayer is a freeware program.)
Can it play movies from other regions?
Yes, as long as your playstation 2 can support dvd output signal. However some can not. For example on the whole, NTSC PS2 can only play NTSC DVD even though you have unlocked the region-lock problem. Whilst Pal PS2 can usually playback both NTSC and Pal movies. However, it is always better to use a standalone multi region DVD player for DVD movies.
Is it compatible with HDLoader & HDAdvance?
It works fine with both HDLoader and HD advance when using a standard IDE hard disk.
Does it support program that is on the memory card?
Yes it supports applications from the memory card. ie Dev 0
