A pocket-sized Dutch Bible printed in 1886. It is covered in leather with raised bands on the spine and with a front flap to close it. The page edges are gilded. It consists of five different sections, each with separate pagination: “Het Nieuwe Testament” (592 pp), “Psalmen nevens de Gezangen” (311 pp, with musical notation), “Evangelische Gezangen” (286 pp, with musical notation), “Vervolgbundel op de Evangelische Gezangen” (112 pp, with musical notation) and “Catechismus of Onderwijzing” (53pp).
Dimensions are 10 x 7 x 4.5cm. It is in good condition for its age: at the beginning and end of the volume the text block is coming somewhat loose but the book is still tightly bound. Some minor bits of paper loss on the endpapers and there are some folds on some of the pages. Overall, though, the book is intact and still very usable and presentable.
