Sweet Dwarf Papaya is a prolific grower and produces large amounts of fruit in the right conditions. Great for fruit salads or on its own.
Soak the seeds for 24 hours in water to increase the germination rates. Germination temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees. Ideal germination temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees. Can be grown indoors or in a sheltered environment for the first 3 to 6 months if temperatures are kept above 15 degrees. Trees should be protected from temperatures below freezing.
Both male and female plants are required for Papaya to fruit. Male papaya plants have panicles (long stems) with many small fragrant flowers on them. Female papayas have larger single flowers close to the stem of the plant
Minimum of 12 seeds per pack
All seeds are tested and grown on our farm in Malawi and our growing area in South Africa. Please check conditions in your area for the type of seed to be grown. Growth rates and germination times are dependent on many factors such as soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate, and many more.
Growth and harvest can be affected by these conditions. Please note that certain countries require specific permission to grow certain plants or ban their growth completely. Please check your local regulations before purchasing products.
We will not be held responsible for products purchased that are not allowed in your country/province
