The very talented Dylan Emslie, former konsertina player for Die Penkoppe, releases his debut album. This talented player has formed his own boeremusiek band known as Dylan Emslie & sy Orkes. Dylan recently won the Boeremusiekgilde award for Best Konsertina Player and the band was crowned Best Boeremusiek Band. Dylan performed at Skouspel in 2011 and also participated (with Die Penkoppe) in the KykNet competition, Vastrap where they were runners-up. They were also winners of various Huisgenoot Tempo Awards, Vonk Awards & in 2012 the Ghoema Award. They were also nominated for a SAMA Award in 2011.
