I inherrited this badge from my grandfather who served in the Second World War but I'm not sure why or how he came to have this badge. It's a rhinoceros standing on a scroll.E.A.A.C. with a brooch loops soldered to the reverse. The badge I have is virtually the same as the one in the image apart from two minor exceptions. First, my badge does not have the blue cloth backing and second, instead of it having a pin and a pin hook at the back, it's got two loops for a pin to go through.
According to (http://www.gnmilitaria.co.uk/home.php?id=1) the WW II cast silver headdress badge for the East African Armoured Corps is quite scarce so I would assume that my badge is also pretty scarce, it took me quite a few search attempts to find anything on the net about this type of badge.
