Description:

For 1.75mm filament, this is a new 0.4mm E3D nozzle for the E3D V5 and V6 hotend assemblies.
The brass nozzle is a popular alternative among 3D printers since it is an excellent general-purpose option at a reasonable price. The qualities of brass are well-balanced; it is heat-conductive, machine-able even with tiny nozzles, and it doesn't corrode or pit, keeping its smooth surface finish for neatly placing extruded filament. The nozzle's top is threaded to allow it to slide into either the E3D V5 or E3D V6 Heater Block.
It is a good idea to remember that brass nozzles are susceptible to abrasive erosion by more exotic filaments, such as those packed with metal powder, carbon fiber, or glow-in-the-dark filaments. They can also sustain damage from hard head collisions.

QUICK GUIDE TO CHANGING YOUR 0.4MM E3D NOZZLE:

We advise using the hot tightening approach to achieve the best possible thermal coupling while replacing 3D printer nozzles with other parts. Just follow these simple procedures to accomplish this, taking care, of course, not to burn yourself.
Turn the heatbreak away from the heatsink by approximately half a turn to make sure you are not going to tighten the heatbreak later on.
Raise the temperature of your hotend to 285°C, however, avoid going beyond since this could harm your thermistor.
Take off the old nozzle from the heater block and replace it with the new one.
Tighten the nozzle gradually while maintaining a firm grip on the heating block. However, exercise caution while applying torque through the heatbreaks as they are brittle and can break rather easily if they become loose.
After turning off the heater, let the heated side cool.
Lastly, tighten the heatbreak back into the heatsink and make sure there are no loose pieces after the nozzle has been inserted and cooled.
This is because the steel and brass utilized in the heat breaks and nozzles have a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than the aluminum heater blocks that were employed. When the hot end reaches temperature, this causes a tiny gap to form between the nozzle and the break inside the block, but this only occurs if the nozzle was tightened while the block was still cold.
