The piece is in an GOOD, UNUSED CONDITION- Patt.83 Battlejacket Haversack Segment is present and detailed with fittings.Item remains in a Good State and has NOT been utilised. Minimal Signs of Wear evident due to handling. All straps , adjustable tabs and buckles are present. Fittings appear to function well when engaged. Zipper closures and velcro tabs are in good order. Padding liner portions remain intact. Manufacturer label present and legible.

An EXCELLENT example of Post- Border War Era , Early 1990s SADF Nutria Unissued Patt.83 Battlejacket Rear Haversack Segment.  This piece appears to be in a VF state , with Cordura Material appearing in good order. All straps and buckles present. Minimal evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Fittings are secure , with Zipper closures and velcro tabs remaining intact and functional. Liner padding portion for shoulders is present and secure. Manufacturer label evident.

This piece would have been attached by means of straps and associated buckles , to the primary or posterior Segment of the SADF Patt.83 Battlejacket. The Haversack Segment - was designed to contain a Mess Kit , Various Support & Sustenance items - as well as - a Sleeping Bag Roll.
