This very early original & hand made tribal head rest was used by the 'Sidamo' Tribe of Ethiopia. It has been made from a heavy piece of wood and elaborately hand carved all round. This important piece has a great colouring and lovely natural aged wear all round. This headrest is part of a small collection of early African and tribal items that Ill be listing in the next few weeks. Most of the pieces had been originally labelled by the previous collector. The label of this read 'Headrest Sidamo - Ethiopia', its in a great all round condition, measures 17.3cm x 16cm x 5cm and weighs 725g.
