This item is secondhand and in overall good vintage condition with the handle chipped in two corners (see images 13 and 14). Please note although I am not an expert in this area, according to my research this is an early (circa 1950) Soviet AK-47 bayonet of a rare Russian manufacture. The now famous assault rifle (aka Avtomat Kalashnikova, or simply 'Kalash') went into circulation only the year before this bayonet was manufactured. The serial number (8446) is on the handle. The bayonet measures 31 cm long and 5 cm wide (at widest point) and the blade measures 20 cm long and 2,2 cm wide (at widest point). Please view images as part of description.
