Early German Police 'ML' Expandable Steel Spring Baton (Stahlrute)

 

This early, scarce, German expandable/telescopic steel spring baton known as a 'Stahlrute' is in excellent condition with a lovely, aged patina and comes with its original leather strap. There are markings on the top of the handle 'ML' and West-Germany and it has early aged tape under the leather handle, that I've left as it was found. It contracts nicely and with a flick of the wrist expands quickly. The baton measures 16cm closed and 41cm expanded, and weighs 260g.
