This lovely, 1930's, sage green jasperware, lidded teapot is decorated with a beautiful white neo-classical design, in relief, featuring classical figures and cherubs under trees. There is also amazing white detail in relief on the lid. The inside of the teapot and lid have been glazed to make it functional and to protect it. It is dated '1936' and has the words 'WEDGWOOD' 'MADE IN ENGLAND', plus the letters 'E.B.' all impressed on the base. Other than a minute chip to the inner edge of the spout, it is in excellent condition. It measures 10cm in height, 18cm handle to spout, with a diameter of 12cm (at its widest) and weighs 580g.
