Early Post WW2 Combined Cadet Force RAF Gliders Proficiency Badge


The Glider Pilot Regiment, a specialized British unit during World War II, manned military gliders for the British Army and played a crucial role in Allied airborne operations in the European Theatre. Founded in 1942, the regiment was integrated into the Parachute Corps in 1957 following its disbandment. Early Post WW2 Combined Cadet Force RAF Gliders Proficiency blue cobalt blue enamel and silver tone badge. No maker's mark present.

  

The badge is in a fairly good vintage condition with the enamel undamaged. The badge however does show some clear signs of use and wear consistent with age and use. The pin is intact and in good working condition. This badge has a diameter of approximately 2.2cm.
