Early Royal Doulton 'The Gleaners' Trinket Dish (D6123) 

This attractive, 1940's, Royal Doulton trinket dish, from the 'Old English Scenes' series 'The Gleaners', was designed by 'S. Wilson,' It features a colourful country scene of a woman and child pulling a sleigh with corn and a dog between them, bordered with a dark green trim. It has a lovely, rectangular shape with rounded ends and measures 23cm x 10,5cm with a height of 2cm. The dish is in excellent condition and carry's the Royal Doulton backstamp along with the special 'Gleaners' mark and pattern number 'D6123', as well as the impressed shape number '1918' on the back.
