Early Silver Victorian Vinaigrette (1847)
This lovely, early, small, silver Victorian vinaigrette is rectangular in shape with a pretty acanthus leaf pattern engraved on both sides and its hinged interior pierced grill is decorated with flowers. It was made in 1847 in Birmingham, England by silversmiths (CWC) 'Cronin & Wheeler' (for James Cronin & Sarah & George Wheeler). The vinaigrette is in excellent condition with good hinges, nice clear hallmarks and still retains its lovely, gilded interior. It measures 22mm x 16mm x 10mm.
