Early Sterling Silver 'Mari-Lou' Floral Brooch
This scarce, South African silver, retro brooch, from the 1950/60's, of a large flower is in excellent condition. The brooch is a very good quality piece, with a nice weight and lovely detail. 'Mari-Lou' jewellers operated out of Pretoria from the 1950's to the 1970's, and today their jewellery has become very collectable. The brooch measures 7,2cm x 4,4cm, weighs 12,4g and has a good secure pin and roll-over clasp on the back. It is stamped 'STER SILV' & 'MARI LOU' on the back of one of the petals.
All my jewellery is checked by a jeweller regarding condition (claws, catches, pins etc.) as well as cleaned and polished before listing.
