The Solar-powered Fan (also known as a Loo Fan) is designed specifically for portable toilets to extract odours and hot air. The fan is inserted through a hole in the roof from above, leaving the solar panel exposed. Add a soft rubber/silicone gasket to ensure that the fitting remains water-tight. A back nut is then screwed on from below. An epoxy can be applied to the back nut to prevent theft.
The fan will run as long as there is >8,000lx sunlight on the panel. It does not contain batteries, so it will not run without sunlight.
