MCE plugs directly into the 9 pin socket of the Vintage Graphics card*
The MCE unit needs to be powered by 5V. This is done via the Micro-USB connector on the Pico Pi using any old cell charger. There is also DuPont connector for 5V on the MCE Blaster so one could make up a DuPont to Molex cord and power it off the PC as well.
When the adaptor is powered and plugged into a VGA monitor it will display a splash screen which goes away once it gets a signal from the PC
There are two buttons on the unit to allow you set it up with your vintage graphics card.
Operating instructions are supplied.
It will work with a CRT or LCD VGA monitor.
*a 9 pin D-Sub Male to Female straight thorough cable can be used to get a flexible connection. They are available on BOB shop.
