Step One: Locate electricity meter
Locate electricity meter and identify live supply cable.
Step Two: Locate LIVE wire (our electricians will assist you on the telephone)
The hinged clip on the sensor is designed to clip around the LIVE insulated power supply cable coming from the electricity meter to the consumer unit (fuse box).
Step Three: Insert batteries into sender box
Unscrew backing plate on the sender box and install batteries provided.
Plug sensor cable Jack Plug into any one of the sockets located at the bottom of the sender unit.
Step Four: Insert batteries into remote monitor
Install the batteries into the remote monitor.
You are ready to view energy consumption
The OWL power saving monitor receives and displays data on a large, easy to read display. The signal received from the sender box transmits wireless beams of data to the remote monitor (works through walls up to 30m-35m range). The sensor box takes readings from your mains as it is attached to a sensor which clips onto your mains supply cable and as the monitor is run from batteries it won't eat into your electricity supply.

All signals are received using 'phase' current transformer sensing technology to detect and monitor the magnetic field around your household electricity cable.
