Pearls are enjoying a fashion comeback right now. They make particularly beautiful jewellery when paired alongside marcasite gemstones. These glamorous sterling silver drop and dangle earrings measure 48mm long x 9mm wide and have 3 elements. There is an oval sterling silver stud with notched borders and 4 round faceted marcasites claw set within the borders. A single open chain link then holds the second element - a long teardrop-shaped silver dangle with openwork around 3 circles, in increasing size, that are suspended within the teardrop. Again with notched borders both inside and out, and small round-faceted marcasites claw set within the borders. Three larger marcasites punctuate the 3 circles. The third element is a freshwater pearl linked again with a single open chain link. The creamy lustre of the pearls with their smooth curves is a lovely contrast with the texture and detailing of the rest of the earring.
