This beautiful piece features a brilliant cut diamond floral cluster set in 9ct white gold. The ring head is flat, with a raised portion in the middle, claw set and sitting 5mm above the finger. The slender shank is a work of art in itself - a slim single strand cups underneath the finger, forking almost immediately into two strands that crossover each other high on the shoulders, almost at the ring head, allowing openwork between the strands both above and below the crossover. One strand is textured with tiny nubs, adding detail and interest. The bridge supporting the ring head is beautifully detailed, again with slim strands crossing over and creating openwork. A good size head at 20mm wide x 8mm long, the ring still weighs a dainty 1,83 grams. The piece is well hallmarked with the 9KT and British 375 hallmarks indicating 9ct gold, the jeweller's signature, .15 for the diamonds and the London Assay mark. I have had the ring jeweller tested and authenticated. His evaluation certificate for R9'300 will accompany the ring, which comes in a quality ring box It is a very graceful and dainty ring (1,83 grams) with wonderful sparkle and an unusual modern design. Definitely a potential engagement ring but pretty enough to be enjoyed by anyone who likes vintage English diamond jewellery!
