Hierdie boek is die eerste een van stel van 3 boeke DEEL I   Temmers van die Noordweste (1833 - 1876).  Noordweste in 1833, suid van die rivier, bly  nog steeds 'n skrikwekkende wildernis, wat selfs die moedigste trekkers afskrik.

Neende druk 1956 - Nasionale Boekhandel 1956 oplaagstempel op buitekant van hardeband en op eerste endbladsy oplaag 4000 van 4041. Hardeband goed gebind, skoon netjiese bladsye, ligte eweredige sagte verkleuring meestal op endbladsye, 227 bladsye.
