DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	A lovely old cast metal plaque of a sower sowing seed in the fields. This typically authentic art deco piece is framed on beautifully yellow veneered plywood within a period solid wooden frame which is dyed black. It is attached to the frame by screws. The plaque shows the design in embossing and was manufactured in Germany by MIA and crafted by an artist with the initials PL. The markings of the manufacturer (foundry) where the plaque was cast appears on the back and the initials of the artist appears in the bottom right corner of the item. The plaque with frame measures 31 x 25 cm and the plaque alone measures 19.5 x 14 cm. I am not sure what metal the plaque is made of but believe it is spelter which has been anodised pitch black. You can see the framed plaque of the sower in the image above. Look at the images below for more details and ask a question if there is anything you are not sure about.
CONDITION	The framed plaque is in very good condition with no damage.

A lovely art deco collectable display piece. Beautifully cast and framed. Quality German manufacture.

NOTE THAT I HAVE ANOTHER PLAQUE WHICH SHOWS HANSEL AND GRETEL AND WAS MADE BY THE SAME MANUFACTURER ON THIS AUCTION. HAVE A LOOK AT IT BECAUSE I COMBINE POSTAGE AND THERE WILL BE LITTLE EXTRA POSTAGE COST IF YOU BUY THE OTHER ONE IN ADDITION TO THIS LOT.

There initials of the artist (PL) who crafted this lovely plaque appears in the bottom right corner of the plaque.

This is the plaque seen from behind (when unscrewed from the wooden backing).

The foundry marks of the firm that cast the plaque appears on the back of the plaque. The initials 'MIA' are shown as well as the 'G' for Germany.

The frame shown from behind and with a matchbox to give an indication of relative size. It measures 31 x 25 cm.
