Emer Kenny's self-titled debut album filters haunting Celtic folk sounds through contemporary production sensibilities, giving her music an aura similar to that of Loreena McKennitt or even Enya at times. At times the record has an ethereal, ambient new age sound, at others it's suitable for adult-alternative radio; either way, Kenny's luminous harp work drives the music beautifully.
