Large Enamelled Silver, Marcasite and Crystal "Butterfly" Brooch

The modern, large, English, sterling silver brooch is in the form of a butterfly. The butterfly is rub-over set with four round-cut, and one pear-shaped, clear crystals. The wings are enamelled with light grey and light yellow-green enamelling. The butterfly has extensive beaded silver decoration and is set with numerous cut marcasites. The brooch is marked with "925" marks; the maker's mark "G Ltd (for Goldmajor Ltd)" and a London hallmark. The marks are on the silver needle and are very small.
