Cover foxed and shelf-rubbed with numerous superficial scratches (indentations only--does not rip into the surface). Front panel creased along the hinge, lower edge and fore-edge. Corner tips rubbed, with small creases across tips. Spine well-creased, with substantial rubbing to edges and extremities; light chipping to heel with 10mm closed vertical tears. Fore-edges and top edge rubbed, with light chipping of outer coloured layer of the wraps. Edges of text-block foxed. Insides of cover and fly leaves foxed and age-toned, with previous owner name blocked out in black marker on front fly leaf. Foxing and age-toning throughout--mostly light and in the margins, but also occasionally heavier and full page coverage. Photographic plates also foxed. A couple of folded page tips. No underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. Text complete, binding is secure, no loose, missing, or torn pages.
