How it works:
- This device typically sends it's GPS coordinates, speed, heading, altitude etc. to a web based system.
- The device has a built-in motion sensor.
- When the device is moving, it will report positions every minute.
- After 2 minutes of non-movement, the device will stop reporting by entering a 'sleep' state.
- Upon moving again, the unit will 'wake-up' and start reporting again.
- You can call the device at any time as you would call any cellphone.
- You can program one number to be called by the device when pressing the PTC button.

- The tracking unit is configured to work on the South African based Intellibureau tracking platform.
Extra costs:
- Requires a SIM card for reporting locations via GPRS to the tracking platform.
- R95 per month on a prepaid pay-as-you-view basis.
Required working conditions (as for most GPS devices):
- Requires a clear line-of-sight to the satellites in order to obtain 'GPS lock'.
- Requires a SIM card with enough airtime and GPRS connectivity to communicate with the tracking platform and for voice calls (if required).
