GLORIOUS VINTAGE SAPPHIRE ETERNITY RING IN 9CT YELLOW GOLD

 This beautiful vintage piece features 7 x oval-faceted blue sapphires claw set in 9ct yellow gold. Measuring 4mm long x 3mm wide, and an almost denim-blue - often referred to as "cornflower blue", the contrast is lovely and strong between the sapphires and the rich warmth of the yellow gold. The ring head measures 4mm long x 19.5mm across x 4mm high, sitting on a narrow 9ct yellow gold shank. The 2,8 gram piece bears it's pedigree in the many hallmarks: the jeweller's signature, '375' indicating 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay mark and the date 1905. I have has the piece assessed by an independent jeweller and a certificate of valuation of R25,000 will accompany the ring. A piece with a past, simple and elegant.
