VINTAGE GENTLE LILAC TANZANITE 9CT YELLOW GOLD 
RING WITH DIAGONAL RING HEAD. WELL HALLMARKED

This rather pretty ring came from a favourite vintage jeweller in London. This beautiful English vintage piece is crafted in 9ct yellow gold; featuring 16 x small round faceted, soft lilac tanzanites claw set in 4 rows of 4 gemstones each, set on a diagonal. The claws are all elongated, holding the gemstones 4mm above the finger. The ring head is 15mm x 14mm and sits atop a simple solid 9ct gold shank, yellow gold around the back but thickening up to incorporate a 9ct white gold raised strand at the shoulders. It adds to the reassuringly solid feel of the ring head. The pedigree of the piece is evident in the many hallmarks: the Birmingham Assay mark, the jeweller's signature, the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold, and the date 2005. The piece weighs a solid 3,35 grams, and sits snugly and comfortably on the finger.
