The following facilities are available at Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Resort in Komati Valley(Carolina) 17-24 January 2014!

HIKING TRAILS

Choose from one of our three marked hiking trails:

“The Ruins hiking” trail is a stunning 2,4 km scenic walk,

“Acacia Waterfall” trail is a excellent birding 2 km trail or

“Doornkop” trail which is an exceptional tree spotting and game viewing walk.

Doornkop also offers longer hiking trails, please enquire at reception.

There are no guided walks available.

FLY FISHING

There are 8 trout dams to choose from all of which are stocked on a regular basis during the winter months.Fly fishermans dream!

GAME DRIVES
 

There are no organized game drives available on Doornkop, but guests are welcome to traverse in their own vehicles on the designated roads. Please enquire at reception as many of the roads are inaccessible to normal Sedan type vehicles.

BIRD WATCHING
 

More than a hundred bird species have been positively identified on the reserve. Sightings of the rare Short tailed Pipit have been recorded
