Enmasse Tea - No 06 Green Rooibos

This single estate organic green tea with extra long needles produces a complex range of flavours with no bitter tannins or caffeine. Unique to the Western Cape. Green rooibos is too plain rooibos as traditional green tea is to black tea…same plant but unfermented. This gem is not as sensitive to brewing as green tea is. Essential to stock for sophisticated green tea drinkers.

How to Prepare:
Amount: 1 level teaspoon (3g) / 250ml
Water temp: 100C
Steep time. 2-8 minutes.

Note: The longer it steeps the stronger the cup of tea Unlike traditional green tea, green rooibos can be brewed in boiling water.

After 2 minutes — light green colour, underlying sweetness, subtle, clean, fresh (this is green rooibos at its best)
After 5 minutes — darker green brownish, less subtle but still fresh
After 8 minutes — brownish green, woody and full of flavour

For iced tea: Double the amount, steep for the required time (or longer) and pour over ice cubes to chill.
