Commerative 2007 TWO POUNDS: Bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade in the British Empire. On the reverse side. The date '1807' with the 'O' depicted as a broken chain link, surrounded by the inscription 'AN ACT FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE SLAVE TRADE', and the date '2007', with an edge inscription 'AM I NOT A MAN, AND A BROTHER' (Reverse design: David Gentleman)

The error is on the obverse.

  • Fading dots around the Queen's portrait:
The dots that form a circle around the Queen's image on the obverse side sometimes fade or disappear before completing a full circle. This is due to die wear during the striking process. This coin, as seen in the photo, is a very good example of this error, where the dots have disappeared entirely from the bottom of the queen's portrait, resulting in a symmetrical arch over her head. Quite an attractive error.

  • This is a circulated coin. What you see is what you get. For a 2007 circulated coin, it is in very good condition, - in my opinion. This coin is protected in a coin capsule as seen in the third photo. It will be shipped to you in this capsule.

  • Postage / Courier fees, including returns, are at the buyer's expense. I will always package the coin securely, and with the greatest care. International buyers; Please make sure you arrange your own shipping, or ask for a quote before placing a bid.
