Description of plant: Tall, evergreen conical tree with brown-grey cones. Gave its name to the Mediterranean island where it used to be worshipped.
Extraction: Steam distillation of the leaves and twigs.
Charactersitics: A pale yellow mobile liquid of sweet-balsamic yet refreshing odour, reminiscent of pine needles. MIDDLE TO BASE NOTE
Odour effects: Refreshing yet sedating.
Cautions: Regulates menstrual cycle. Best not to use in pregnancy.
Main chemical constituents: Alpha terpinyl acetate - 5% Cedrene and cadinene - 4% Manoyl oxide - 2% Alpha and Beta Pinene, Delta carene

Eases muscular cramps and rheumatism, and is an anti-spasmodic. SKIN Sweaty and oily skin would benefit. Helps mature skin due to fluid control.
