Eschscholzia californica or California Poppy as it is commonly known is a compact annual or tender perennial native to California and the southwestern United States. California Poppy has cup-shaped flowers that are 5-10cm in diameter, borne individually on long stalks. Blooms close each night at sunset or on cloudy days.
