ON JAN 1 1904, THE NIPPON TOKI KAISHA Ltd - THE FORERUNNER TO THE PRESENT NORITAKE COMPANY - WAS FORMED"

THE NORITAKE STAMP UTILIZED ON THE ITEMS OF THIS PARTICULAR SET WAS FILED ON JUNE 12 1963

A LOVELY NORITAKE PORCELAIN SET CONSISTING OF SIX TEACUPS AND NINE SAUCERS EACH DECORATED WITH THE ESPANA PATTERN WHICH IS DISCONTINUED. THE PATTERN IS A RATHER RETRO PATTERN CONSISTING OF LINEAR BANDS IN OLIVE, DEEP MUSTARD AND LIGHT TORTILLA EACH WITH DARK FLORAL AND DIAMOND PATTERNS WITHIN. THE TEACUPS AS WELL AS THE SAUCERS HAVE ALSO BEEN DECORATED WITH GOLD TRIM.

PIECES FOR THIS PARTICULAR PATTERN ARE RARE AND ARE EVEN OUT OF STOCK AT THE USA WEBSITE "REPLACEMENTS.COM"
