Framed etching by well-known artist, Louis Jansen van Vuuren (South African, 1949). Signed, titled and numbered 12/50 1996. 46 cm x 63 cm. Louis Jansen van Vuuren was born and educated in South Africa. He graduated with a degree in Creative Arts and and an Honours Degree (Cum Laude) in History of Art from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He has been an art educator and a practicing artist for forty years. Van Vuuren has had more than eighty exhibitions in South Africa, Europe and America and has works in Museums, Corporate and Private Collections throughout the world. In 1998, he retired from his academic post at the University of Cape Town’s Art School and now lives in the Limousin Region of France.
