The Eumig P8 is probably the commonest 8mm projector around today. Introduced in 1954 the Eumig P8 was the world's first home movie projector with a low voltage lighting system (12 volts). The lamp (A1/186 12 v. 100 w. SBC cap) was smaller, easier to focus and, as it produced less heat, it was easier to cool the projector and film. All of the P8 projectors take up to a 400 ft reel. The P8 range all have variable speed.
The P8 is highly regarded by most 8mm collectors; it is built like a tank and should last forever if you clean it regularly, do an occasional lubing of the gears, and replace the belts as required.
Here is the Eumig P8 manual (Italian).
We have owned this projector since new and it is in working order except that a new rubber drive belt is required.
A take-up reel, mains power cable and custom wooden case are included.
