This solid silver dish holder is in very good condition all round.

It features what seems like a toddler boy standing in the midst of a grapevine bearing fruit. Its beautifully crafted, and certainly very appealing.

The hallmarks though slightly faded, are still visible enough for identification purposes.

Reading the hallmarks from left to right, we see first the capital EF, referring to the silversmith Edward Farrell

Next is the duty mark displaying the head of George III, then the Lion Passant, with the lower case letter q coming after that, dating this item to 1831. And lastly we see the Crowned Leopard for the London Assay Office

It weighs in at 490 grams, with an outer diameter of 21cm, and a height of 6.5cm
