The jug is made from slip cast porcelain which is most unusual for Lucia Ware which was generally made from earthenware especially for the production ware mass produced items . The jug has an elegant bulbous ewer shaped body with a sharply curved pouring spout whose shape is replicated and reversed in the curved strap handle . The top of the strap handle is decorated with mauve dots on a white ground colour. The surface of the jug is textured in places with a subtle granular finish contrasting with smooth surfaced areas. The base of the jug has impressed Lucia Ware marks as well as a form /shape number 1973 and the artists/decorators name indistinctly scratched into a black painted square .
