This exceptionally rare antique c1860 Victorian W.T. Avery Ltd/ South African Scale Company Ltd"Afrikander" platform scale is a truly amazing and incredibly rare find. The scale was manufactured in Birmingham, UK and was designed to facilitate the moving of safes. The Scale is in remarkably good condition for its age and with a little TLC could be restored to its former glory. The scale includes the weights as shown in the pictures below. The scale is an extremely rare scale and I was not able to find an identical scale for sale on the internet. The scale would make an amazing prop, especially restored!!
