The phone could not be tested by us and we are not experts. We are NOT selling this as in working condition!! It still looks brand new, there are no chips or scratches we could identify and the rotating dial operates very smoothly. We did open it up to have a look inside and it would seem that everything should be in order to modify it to work in SA, should you wish to convert it. It comes from an estate sale and we believe it was only a display "ART" piece. The Cable plug socket does not fit into our standard South African telephone sockets. We did not want to modify it, as there might be collectors who would prefer to keep it original as it is.
