Very good in contemporary half leather with gilt decorated compartments and five raised bands. Gilt title label on green leather on spine. Original marbled boards and endpapers. Edges also marbled. COMPLETE: contains all wood engravings from the original sketches by Baines, including the full plates, the colour chromo-lithograph of a regiment of flamingoes with its intact tissue paper, and the three fold-out maps as required. The first map is very good indeed with no tears or marks, the second map is complete with no loss and neat repairs on reverse and some creases. The third map is also complete with no tears and only some light creases. Exceptionally rare in the original leather binding and in this condition. Neat contemporary presentation inscription dated 1873 on front free endpaper. Seller Inventory # 80181
