Exquisite antique millefiori glass micro mosaic brooch

Pretty brooch or pin made in the late 19th century or around 1870. Flower mosaic made up of minimal glass tesserae set in a brass frame.

This is not "your average" micro mosaic brooch! The detail is astounding.  Individual pieces of glass much smaller than the brooches of the 60's and 70's.

There is some wear, and evidence of a repair to the pin on the back.

I prefer using recycled packaging materials as far as possible.
