This exquisite and unusual pocket watch is created under license from an original watch design by the great Art Deco designer Erté.
Ertè (Romain de Tirtoff) designed his watch collection as one of his last achievements, before his death at the age of 97 in 1990.
This beautiful pocket watch is made by "Art of Time", under license by Sevenarts Ltd.
The colour dial is hand enameled to the artist’s original specifications.
The pocket watch is flower-shaped and has a diameter for approximately 5cm (2"). According to the certificate, it has a stainless steel case with 5 microns 18K gold plating.
The watch face has a black-and-white alternating design. The minute and hour hands are in the shape of human figures.
The other side has the Ertè design in hand-applied enamel.
It has a 35cm (17") stainless steel watch chain including end clip. The clip has the Sevenarts Ltd stamp on it.
The time piece comes in its own elegant presentation case.
It has a Japanese-made mechanism. I have not tested it to see if it works. As far as I know, the piece has not been used - my father bought it in its box a number of years ago.
